Katz Student Wins Grant for Research on Sustainability

Mike Gordon, Doctoral Candidate in Business Analytics and Operations, won a Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation Conference Grant to attend the 2019 INFORMS Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA. Mike presented on his paper, “Sustainable Investment: Synergistic Effects of Green Manufacturing and Social Responsibility in Competition,” co-authored with Dr. Jennifer Shang and Dr. Esther Gal-Or. They studied competition between two supply chains that invest in sustainability. In their model, both supply chains invest in social responsibility, while one also invests in greening their product.
