Madeline Fitzgerald

  • Sustainability Partnerships Manager, Decarbonize Middle America

Madeline joins the University of Pittsburgh Center For Sustainable Business as the Decarbonize Middle America Program Manager. She began her career in the energy industry managing natural gas development in the Appalachian Basin, with a goal of helping the region transition from coal as an energy source. After gaining an MBA from the Tepper School of Business in 2019, she worked as a Senior Management Consultant in the healthcare operations space creating market strategies and organizational improvements.

Madeline is excited to join the university and engage with businesses in the region to help improve their sustainable practices in a way that drives their development. She believes that true sustainability can be achieved when solutions benefit both the environment and the citizens of the region.

Outside of her career, Madeline enjoys taking long walks with her dog, hosting local bar trivia nights, playing tennis, and exploring bike trails.
