Joëlle Kanyana MSc

  • ESG Rosetta Stone Program Manager

Joëlle Kanyana joins the CSB as the ESG Rosetta Stone Program Manager. Before pivoting her career towards sustainable business, she worked in financial planning and analysis for a large hospital system in Florida. As part of her master’s education in Global and Sustainable Business, she consulted for a French waste recovery business and interned at a sustainable finance startup in Geneva. Additionally, since 2020, she has volunteered as the treasurer for a small nonprofit focused on promoting peace and reconciliation.

Joëlle's passion for sustainable business comes from her belief that the urgency for addressing climate and societal issues requires high-level, systemwide transformation. The seeds for her passion were planted through her undergraduate participation in Enactus and assignments during her undergraduate career. As a result, she is excited to return to the academic setting, which she believes is an incubator for real progress.

Joëlle is excited by the progress made in ESG reporting requirements, data availability, and standard alignment and is eager to help others make sense of what it all entails. She looks forward to participating in the multistakeholder collaborations that the CSB cultivates.

Outside of her career, Joëlle enjoys listening to podcasts, exploring new cities, taking long walks in nature, improving her French, and hosting friends for meals.
